Mark Gordon has been a potter for 35 years.  In 2007, he started making bonsai pots.  These recent pots are high-fired reduction stoneware [2400 degrees] - strong and durable, impervious to weather. His wheel-thrown and hand-built bonsai forms are evolving, with a current emphasis on unglazed ovals and accent pots.  He mixes his own clay, incorporating local clay dug in his backyard in California [1995-99] and North Carolina [1999-present].
